Easter Sunday Brings Snow

Snow is greeting Nebraskans on this Easter Sunday morning. Several inches of snow had fallen in parts of southeast Nebraska as of 6am this morning. The National Weather Service says the snow will continue thru out the day. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 4pm. In Beatrice, street crews were out plowing snow and clearing streets and highways.

Here is the latest information posted by the National Weather Service….

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM CDT THIS
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Light to moderate snow. Additional snow accumulations of
  2 to 5 inches are expected. A narrow band of locally higher
  amounts will be possible in southeast Nebraska.

* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Nebraska and
  southwest Iowa generally along and south of a line from David
  City to Plattsmouth to Clarinda, Iowa.

* WHEN...Snow began to spread into southeast Nebraska around 2 AM
  Sunday morning. Peak intensity is expected between 10 AM and 2
  PM. Snow will end from west to east between 1 PM and 4 PM this
  afternoon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Expect
  reduced visibilities at times.
