Early Morning Fire In Alexandria Covers The Town In Smoke

At 4:45 am this Morning (Wednesday), Alexandria Rural Fire Department responded to a structure fire at the Jack Hunt Farm a mile south of Alexandria.  An out building was engulfed in flames.

According to a member of the fire department, there were no injuries.    The Fire department said that the building had electrical service, and is suspected to be the cause.

Due to a pumper truck problem, assistance from other departments was requested.  Daykin, Belevidere, and Bruning fire departments all responded to assist.

As a result of the fire, the town of Alexandria was blanketed with heavy smoke.
