Dunbar Man Suspected Of Theft From Flooded Hamburg Area

NEBRASKA CITY – The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office is reporting the arrest of Rex Dean Peterson II, age 36, of Dunbar.

The arrest stemmed after a call from a citizen on May 23 at approximately 10:19 a.m. of suspicious activity at A and Argyle Street in Hamburg. The caller reported that  Peterson was in the in possession of pipe and filters from the Manildra Milling Corp of 100 George St.

Manildra is located in the area of extensive flooding in Hamburg.

Peterson is suspected of theft in excess of $1,000. He was taken to the Fremont County Jail., where he was able to bound out on a $5,000 bond.
