COLUMBUS – One person was hospitalized Wednesday morning after hitting a parked car and launching it into a neighboring yard.
Columbus Police say a man was driving a red Pontiac Catalina westbound on 6th Street when he rear-ended a ford explorer that was parked east of 30th Avenue. After getting hit, the explorer was launched across the 30th avenue intersection and landed east of 30th avenue on the edge of a neighboring yard.
The driver was responsive and walking around following the accident but was being treated for a head injury before being transported to the hospital by ambulance. The ambulance was called to the accident just before 8:30 a.m. and both vehicles are estimated to be totaled.
No one was in the parked car at the time the accident occurred.
