BEATRICE – A Gage County man facing a felony drug case is now suspected of confronting a confidential informant who was used to conduct controlled drug purchases from the suspect.
Bond has been set at $100,000 in Gage County Court for Lynn Replogle , arrested on suspicion of tampering with a witness and 3rd-degree assault.
Last December 2nd, Replogle was arrested after an informant was used by law officers to purchase methamphetamine and marijuana from Replogle.
Gage County law officers say on December 11th, Replogle allegedly sent a Facebook message indicating he was aware of the confidential informant’s identity. On December 29th, the informant reported that his house had been damaged and that it appeared a window had been struck by shotgun pellets.
On January 5th, authorities say the informant reported having a near altercation with Replogle, when Replogle arrived at the informant’s home. The informant said the suspect threatened to beat him up, but a third party intervened. Court documents indicate that on December 11th, Replogle was contacted by law officers, and told them that he had a conversation with the informant at his residence, but that the informant denied selling any drugs. Replogle allegedly told officers that he then dropped the conversation.
Replogle was facing a January 26th hearing on the pending drug case against him. His recent arrest will be before a judge on that hearing date.
