Crete Area Medical Center Asking Kids to Come Up with Creative Billboard Designs

CRETE – The Crete Area Medical Center is teaming up with the Friend and Wilber Medical Clinics to find a creative billboard design from children 12 and under.

The participants are encouraged to make a billboard featuring what they do to stay healthy. The winner of the contest will have their creativity displayed on an upcoming Crete Area Medical Center billboard, and also be on their float during the Czech Days Parade. They also win a bicycle.

The first 50 kids will be given a Kids’ Club t-shirt, as well, and are invited to join in walking in the Czech Days Parade.

“We are taking a strong interest in the health of the community, and we wanted to see what it is kids do to stay healthy,” said Foundation and Community Relations Director for Crete Area Health Care Center, Marilea Thiem.

According to a press release, designs must be drawn horizontally on an 8 ½ x 11 unlined sheet of white paper, using as much of the white space as possible. Artwork must be hand drawn and no computer generated graphics will be accepted.

Submissions must be received by July 12 and can either be dropped off at Crete, Friend or Wilber or can be mailed to: CAMC, Billboard Design Contest, 2910 Betten Drive, Crete, NE 68333.
