CPS Approves Upgraded Door Locks for Elementary Schools

COLUMBUS – CPS has approved a bid for new door locks at 5 elementary schools.

Columbus Public School board members unanimously approved a bid for the purchase and installation of the new locks, following a recommendation by the District Technology & Operations office. The lock upgrade was identified as a strategic priority and should be installed before the 2018-19 school year, says a memo from the district.

The total cost of the project bid is $186,259, and will provide upgrades to Centennial, Emerson, Lost Creek, North Park, and West Park, according to submitted documents.

The motion passed unanimously at the most recent board meeting.
