Couple Facing Decades in Prison in Columbus on Meth and Weapons Charges

COLUMBUS, Neb. – A Hastings couple is facing serious prison time after being arrested by Columbus Police on a litany of charges.

Records say CPD were called to a Columbus gas station earlier this year to investigate a disturbance. Eventually, police say they found 46 grams of meth, a pistol with a loaded magazine, over two grams of pot, drug paraphernalia, and $280 cash.

37-year-old Marty Henry and 33-year-old Mary Argent were both arrested for four felonies, including meth possession between 28-139 grams and possessing a firearm while committing a felony.

If convicted on both charges, they face a minimum of six years in prison.

Argent is also accused of tampering with evidence as police say she attempted to throw away a meth pipe when they began to search the vehicle.

Both Argent and Henry could serve more than 100 years in prison, if convicted.

Both are due in court on March 28th.
