NORFOLK, NE — There hasn’t been an Air Force presence in Norfolk until recently.
That’s according to Technical Sergeant and Air Force Recruiter, Kevin McMahon.
“There hasn’t been a presence in Norfolk for the Air Force the last 14 months. We like to re-establish our presence and for people to know it’s an avenue for employment.”
Technical Sergeant Brian Wigginton says they have a goal, and they want to meet it this year. If you have an interest in joining the Air Force, you can help meet that goal.
“The Air Force currently has 311,000 people and we are trying to get tot 321,000 over the next fiscal year.”
Within the Air Force, Wigginton says there is more careers than just flying planes. He says the biggest thing they are looking for now is mechanics.
Wigginton and McMahon say it isn’t just about the benefits though, they’ve had some pretty memorable memories while serving.
Both Wigginton and McMahon encourage those who have questions, want to learn more or join the U.S. Air Force to stop by their office off 13 Street behind the Applebees.
