Columbus Woman Accused of Exposing Child to Meth

COLUMBUS, Neb. – A Columbus woman has been charged with child abuse after one of her children tested positive for exposure to meth.

30-year-old Katie Kohl is charged with felony child abuse and causing child to inhale meth, a misdemeanor, in Platte County.

Records say Kohl told authorities that she has begun to use meth again and her family members have found the drug and paraphernalia in her residence recently.

A hair follicle test of one of her children came up positive for environmental exposure to meth during a January investigation, documents say.

Kohl, who was convicted of meth possession in 2014, will head back to court on March 28th.
