Clown Sightings Becoming a Trend, Police Chief Tells Residents to be Cautious

Clown sightings have become a trend around the country, and a trend that is frightening citizens.

10/11 in Lincoln has reported several sightings so far. According to Lincoln Police, one clown was spotted near Wilderness Park at 400 Old Cheney Road carrying a baseball bat.

UNL Police say they also had a clown incident Monday evening.

Fairbury Police Chief Chad Sprunk is asking residents to be aware and report anything out of the ordinary.

Sprunk says, “With the the issues going around, everyone needs to be extra cautious and be aware of your surroundings.  Even though it has not happened in our area, that does not mean it can’t.  If you see anything suspicious people are encouraged to contact your local law enforcement.”
