BEATRICE – Police, fire and rescue personnel were sent to an early Friday morning accident in north Beatrice. A collision between a car and a semitrailer truck happened at the intersection of U.S. Highway 77 and Air Park Road.
The accident happened at around 5:35 this morning.
A police officer on scene said the car was carrying three persons. The driver was taken to Beatrice Community Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The car had extensive front end damage. It appeared the vehicle struck the rear of the semitrailer truck. The truck driver was not hurt.
Both vehicles were southbound and traffic was able to move through the scene, both south and north on the highway.
