BREAKING: Library/Cultural Arts Center Fails to Pass

COLUMBUS – Poll results are in Tuesday evening, and the vote for the new Library/Cultural Arts Center has failed to pass by a margin of 249 votes.

Unofficial results were posted by Platte County Election Commissioner Diane Olmer Tuesday night with the final count finishing at approximately 9:30 p.m. The special election ballot to approve specific city funds to go towards the building of a new Library/Cultural Arts Center failed to pass, with 1763 votes against and 1514 votes for.

The commission also states that the number of provisional ballots not counted is 9.

Results will need to be approved by Platte County Supervisors to become official.
