Christmas Eve, authorities received a report of a male in the back yard of a woman’s residence, who would not leave the woman alone. The reporting person was able to leave the residence and call 9-1-1.
A sheriff’s deputy went to the area in Blue Springs to locate the man and observed a male duck under a tarp that was draped over a truck in the back yard of a home. The deputy and a Wymore officer approached the vehicle, and the man lifted the tarp and looked at the officers.
Officers had drawn their weapons because they feared the suspect may be armed. During a search, authorities recovered suspected methamphetamine from the suspect. Records showed he had been released on bond from a Lancaster County drug case.
A January 5th hearing is scheduled in Gage County Court.
In a separate incident Christmas Eve, Beatrice Police arrested a man for alleged possession of methamphetamine.
