COLUMBUS – A benefit will be held Saturday for a Columbus music legend, who had emergency open heart surgery.
Dave Williams had the surgery around Thanksgiving, and serious complications forced him back into the hospital, says a committee member for the Dave Williams Benefit.
Williams has remained positive, and has spent decades in the local music scene, says an official.
The Benefit will be held at the Eagles Clubs from 6 p.m. to midnight, and will feature live music from Barrelhouse, Jonesin’ for Janey, Frequency, and more.
Food will be served at 6 p.m. and free will donations will be accepted, with no admission fee.
Money raised will go towards medical bills and other expenses from Williams’ open heart surgery.
