Beatrice Police Arrest Woman on Otoe County Warrant

BEATRICE – Beatrice Police have arrested a 25-year-old woman on a warrant from Otoe County, and for drug possession.

Alexandria Saul was arrested early Tuesday morning, when police were sent to the 300 block of South 8th Street on a report of a motorcycle speeding up and down an alley.  The report also detailed an argument between a male and female.

Police contacted Saul walking west on Bell Street, at around 1:20 a.m.  Police said she initially gave a last name other than her own name.  A subsequent search of Saul and a handbag she was carrying turned up 18 small pills identified as the drug, Lorazepam, used to treat anxiety.   The search also recovered two small baggies with a white residue testing as methamphetamine.

Police discovered a bench warrant had been issued for Saul in Otoe County, for failure to appear for sentencing in a shoplifting case.  She was booked for possession of methamphetamine, possession of Lorazepam and false reporting.

Saul’s bond has been set at $7,500 in Gage County Court, where she faces a July 6th hearing.
