Beatrice Police Arrest Two, at North Beatrice Storage Units

BEATRICE – Beatrice Police arrested two people for alleged drug violations, after being sent to some storage units in the north part of the city, last night.

Police went to the area along Sargent Street, after obtaining information that some people may be staying at one of the storage units…one of them with a pending warrant.

A police officer pulled up behind a parked vehicle at the scene.

Lieutenant Jay Murphy says a search of the vehicle was conduced after the two people were detained.

Police arrested 33-year-old Ceerara Evans on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia….and 29-year-old Devon Cooper…on suspicion of meth, drug paraphernalia and tampering with evidence.  The tampering allegation stemmed from an alleged attempt to hide evidence in the vehicle.

Murphy said the pair had rented one of the storage units.
