Beatrice Police Arrest Suspect in Omaha Car Theft

BEATRICE – Beatrice Police have arrested an Omaha man suspected of stealing a car in Omaha and driving to Beatrice in an attempt to contact his estranged wife.

Police arrested 36-year-old Dusten Schaffer Wednesday morning, on suspicion of possession of stolen property, stalking, domestic assault by intimidation and driving on a suspended license.

Lieutenant Jay Murphy says Beatrice officers were sent to a South 7th Street address at around 5:30 Wednesday morning.  They received a report of a silver car possibly with an Omaha license plate driving around a residential area.  Police located the car parked in that area.
