BEATRICE – Beatrice Police have arrested a man after receiving a report of a threat on a woman’s life, Sunday night.
Sergeant Jay Murphy says police investigated an incident at a gas station in the 900 block of Court Street, at around 7 p.m. He says an argument between the man and woman happened inside a pickup, at that location. The man allegedly threatened the life of the female.

The suspect is identified as 25-year-old Zackary Bokelman. He is being held in the Gage County Jail. Earlier on Sunday, police said Bokelman had been cited for criminal trespass and theft in a separate incident.
Bokelman’s appearance bond was set at $50,000 Monday morning, in Gage County Court. His bond bars him with from contact with the victim and orders him not to be within a block of her home.
Deputy Gage County Attorney Michael Wehling said Bokelman had been sentenced on a separate case last week and is facing a felony warrant on a case from Richardson County.
