BEATRICE – Nebraska State Patrol officers arrested a Beatrice man Saturday, following a chase across parts of three counties.
19-year-old Darrian Norman was arrested north of Crab Orchard, on suspicion of flight to avoid arrest, driving on a suspended license and numerous traffic violations.
Nebraska State Patrol spokesman Cody Thomas says a state trooper observed Norman’s vehicle speeding, near Blue Springs, in Gage County. The vehicle was clocked traveling 75 to 80 miles-per-hour. The trooper attempted to stop Norman’s vehicle, but a pursuit extended east into Pawnee County, traveled along gravel roads, then north into Johnson County.
The chase ended when Norman’s vehicle went off a road and into a farm field. Thomas says at least four troopers were on the scene, assisting in the arrest.
The pursuit began just before ten a.m. Saturday….and ended at around 10:20. No one was injured.
