Beatrice Community Hospital Foundation Holds Fundraiser, Friday Night

BEATRICE –  The Beatrice Community Hospital Foundation will mark 15 years Friday night, of holding their “Catch the Glow” fundraiser.   The event starts with a reception and silent auction at 6:30 p.m., at Classic’s Restaurant.

Foundation Executive Director Sam Rennick says the event, which began under former foundation director Dennis Byars, is the largest fundraiser the foundation holds each year.  Rennick says it continues to draw tremendous community support.

Rennick says there will be about 85 items up for bid in the silent auction, with 33 live auction items and several baskets upon which people can bid.

Catch the Glow has generated about $65,000 to $75,000 annually, providing support for programs and activities supported by the foundation that augment services at Beatrice Community Hospital and local health care community.

Rennick says the hospital foundation is in a sound financial position.
