Beatrice Community Hospital Campus Going on Computer Record-Keeping System

BEATRICE – Beatrice Community Hospital and Health Center converts to a single, integrated health records system on its main campus, starting Saturday.

Epic and the One Chart system will be launched, bringing the hospital’s multiple health records systems into a shared platform.  The records system had already been implemented in hospital-owned clinics, in October of 2016.

BCH Chief Executive Officer Rick Haraldson says the integrated system should mean better care for patients, allowing providers to easily exchange patient data, close care gaps and cut duplication.   Hospital officials say patients will have easier, more convenient access to health record information through One Chart, a patient portal also known as MyChart.

The integrated system will consolidate billing and allow for online bill payments.

Beatrice Community Hospital is part of the Nebraska Medicine Community Connect Epic network, which also includes Mary Lanning Healthcare in Hastings, Great Plains Health in North Platte and Faith Regional Health Services, in Norfolk.
