Assistant Secretary Hazlett Plans Visit To Syracuse Hospital

SYRACUSE – Anne Hazlett, the principal advisor for rural development to US Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue, is planning a Feb. 16 visit to the construction site of Community Memorial Hospital at Syracuse.

Hazlett and Nebraska State Director Karl Elmshaeuser will tour progress on the $29.5 million facility, which is designed to include space for licensed beds, emergency department, surgical site and a 20,000-square-foot clinic.

USDA Rural Development has invested $59.5 million to assist the hospital since 2004.
