COLUMBUS – Some Columbus roads will be getting a makeover, starting Thursday.
City officials say an asphalt contractor will begin work on paving several Columbus roads on Thursday. The city says on March 29th and 30th, asphalt removal and construction will take place on 23rd Avenue from 23rd Street to 27th Street, and on 27th Street from 23rd to 26th Avenues. Reconstruction around Columbus Middle School will take place over the school’s spring break.
The project will continue for roughly another week on 27th Street, from 26th to 48th Avenues, says the city.
In order to protect vehicles, the city asks residents, employers, and employees to avoid parking along the above roadways, until the project is completed. The city says this includes in parking stalls along the roadway.
Anyone in the area is asked by the city to use extreme caution.
