911 Emergency System Restored in Southeast Nebraska

UPDATE: The 911 emergency system issues across southeast Nebraska Wednesday morning have been resolved.

According to a release, the technical difficulties were fixed at 11:30 a.m. 911 calls should be routed and answered in the normal manner.


NEBRASKA CITY – Several counties in southeast Nebraska are asking citizens to dial an alternate phone number until the 911 emergency system is restored.

Otoe County Emergency Management Director Gregg Goebel said troubles with 911 calls were reported beginning at 5 a.m. this morning.

He said Windstream is aware of the problem and is working to resolved issues.
