COLUMBUS – A car was totaled and a juvenile was injured, following a collision at a Columbus intersection.
Columbus Police reports say a 50-year-old was driving a 2011 Chrysler Town and Country in the eastbound lane of 8th Street, and a 27-year-old was driving a 2002 Mercury Sable in the northbound lane of 26th Avenue, when the two vehicles collided at the intersection. After the collision, the Sable spun and hit a 2005 Chevy Equinox stopped in the southbound lane, says CPD Captain Todd Thalken.
The Sable was estimated as a total loss, while both the Chrysler and Chevy suffered an estimated $2,000 in damage. An 8-year-old, riding in the Sable, was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, following the accident, says Thalken.
The accident was reported to police at 6:18 p.m. on Friday.
