COLUMBUS – Superbowl Sunday saw an uptick in driving under the influence arrests, with one intoxicated pedestrian being taken to the hospital.
Columbus Police reports say 5 separate DUI arrests took place on Sunday, with all of them taking place during the early morning hours. Additionally some of those arrested, were cited for careless driving, minor in possession, and no proof of insurance, says reports.
Police also received two reports of intoxicated pedestrians. Police reports say after responding to one of the calls on 8th Street, at 12:17 p.m., they transported a person to the hospital. Reports say the other call was to the 1200 block of 11th Street, but was referred to another agency.
