CENTRAL CITY – Four Sioux Falls residents were arrested after getting pulled over with $8,000 in marijuana in their vehicle.
On Thursday morning at 3:55 a.m. a Merrick County deputy pulled over a South Dakota vehicle for running a red light on Highway 30 at the intersection of C Avenue in Central City. After pulling over the vehicle and searching the interior, three pounds of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia were found, according to a press release from Merrick County.
18-year-old Peyton Ledbetter, 18-year-old Sage Weddell, 20-year-old Anthony Moccasin, and 20-year-old Sunny Weddell were all arrested and are being charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, false reporting, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The marijuana was estimated to be worth $8,000 and all four people are from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, according to a press release.
