3 Arrested After Fairbury Search Warrant

FAIRBURY –  Three individuals were taken into custody Tuesday morning by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and  Fairbury Police Department.   Officers served a search warrant on a Fairbury residence at 1101 J Street.

As officers arrived to serve the warrant, a male subject ran from the rear of the residence.   After a brief foot chase, officers took Douglas May, age 31 of Fairbury into custody.   During the chase, May threw items that were recovered and appeared to be a sizable quantity of suspected Methamphetamines.

May was charged with  Possession of Controlled Substance with intent to distribute, Enhanced Classification within 1000 feet of a school, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana less than 1oz. Obstructing a Peace Officer

Two females were also detained without incident.

Kristin Vanwesten, age 27 of Alexandria and 20-year-old Isabella Kenley of Fairbury were both charged with Possession of Controlled Substance with intent to distribute, Enhanced Classification within 1000 feet of a school, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana less than 1oz.

All suspects are being held without bond until they are brought before the court.  The investigation is ongoing.
