COLUMBUS – The Lazy River Duck Run kicked off ticket sales Thursday, as it prepares for it’s 20th annual race.
The Lazy River Duck Run supports the Columbus Area United Way, and the launch was held with on-site ticket sales at both Slumberland and Pinnacle Bank east from 4 to 6 p.m. Those who purchased 7 tickets at Pinnacle Bank east, also had their car washed for free by the Columbus High girls basketball team.
The kickoff was also a part of the Something Good Summer Series, where attendees can register to win $2,000.
The top prize for this year’s duck race is $10,000, and a Nintendo Switch is featured as one of this year’s new items.
Tickets can also be purchased from local service clubs, banks, and United Way supporting businesses.
The race is set for August 18th.
