2 Arrested In Fairbury On Alleged Drug Charges

FAIRBURY – The Fairbury Police Department arrested 2 individuals on multiple charges on Wednesday in Fairbury.

Just before noon, the Fairbury Police Department was contacted by the State of Nebraska Probation Office to assist searching a residence of a person on probation.

When officers arrived, a search was conducted of a residence located on West 3rd Street in Fairbury.   The search turned up multiple baggies of drugs that tested positive for methamphetamine, heroin, and marijuana as well as drug paraphernalia.

Officers then arrested the occupants of the residence Bradley Durflinger, age 46 and Lindsay Pingel, age 38 both of Fairbury.  Durflinger was transported to the Jefferson County Jail and booked on three counts of alleged possession of a controlled substance, possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person, possession of drug paraphernalia and being a habitual offender.

Pingel was taken to the Jefferson Community Health and Life Hospital to get medical clearance and then transported to the Jefferson County Jail where she was booked on three counts of alleged possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both Pingel and Durflinger were currently out on bond out of Saline County for previous narcotics violations.  Additional charges are expected for Durflinger because of his probation.

The Fairbury Police Department was assisted by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department and Nebraska District 1 Probation Office.
