FAIRBURY, NE – The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office was called to the Cobblestone Hotel in Fairbury on Thursday, because a woman refused to leave the premises.
Upon investigation, deputies discovered methamphetamine in the room that she had been staying in. Upon questioning, 38-year-old Jamie Mohr was determined to be a convicted felon. Further, a .25 caliber loaded pistol was discovered in her possession as well as a Taser and pepper spray.
Mohr was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, felony possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm while in the commission of a drug crime and carrying a concealed weapon.
Other charges may be filed in this matter. The case is still under investigation.
