COLUMBUS – Columbus Police reports say a semi-driver was injured after a van that was attempting to stop, slid into his path.
Columbus Police reports say a 48-year-old man was driving his full size Chevrolet van westbound on 14th Street, when he attempted to stop at the 33rd Avenue intersection. The driver told police that because of the icy conditions, his van continued into the intersection, where it was hit by a northbound semi-truck and trailer, says reports.
The damage to the van was minor, but the damage to the semi was $2,500 says reports. The 47-year-old driver of the 2012 Kenworth Semi was reportedly injured in the accident, but was not transported to the hospital by ambulance.
The accident occurred in the early morning hours on Monday, at 3:28 a.m., says CPD reports.
