Top-seeded Nebraska bowling splits matches at NCAA championships

ST. LOUIS — The Nebraska bowling team went 1-1 on the first day of the NCAA championship Thursday, defeating eighth-seeded Lincoln Memorial 1,031-972 in a traditional match and 1,062-945 in a five-game Baker match.

The top-seeded Huskers then lost to fourth-seeded Vanderbilt 967-935 in the traditional portion and 1,036-983 in the best-of-seven Baker matches.

NU faces North Carolina A&T in an elimination match at 9 a.m. Friday. The winner will play second-seeded McKendree in the semifinals.​
