Nebraska volleyball finishes No. 2 in final rankings, Creighton lands at No. 13

Nebraska finished the year ranked No. 2 in the final American Volleyball Coaches Association poll, and Creighton came in at No. 13.

Nebraska, which entered the NCAA tournament ranked No. 6, came up just short in its quest for a third national title in four years. The Huskers lost in the national finals to Stanford in five sets.

Creighton finishes the season ranked for the fourth straight season. The Jays and Huskers are two of 10 teams nationally to do that.

Creighton, ranked No. 9 before the tournament, saw its season end in the second round after getting swept by Washington.

Nebraska is one of seven Big Ten teams in the top 25 and one of five in the top 10. Creighton is one of two Big East teams in the rankings, joined by No. 15 Marquette.
