Nebraska softball sweeps doubleheader with South Dakota State

LINCOLN — Nebraska swept a pair of games against South Dakota State Wednesday, beating the Jackrabbits 8-2 and 12-3 in five innings.

Kaylan Jablonski earned the win in both games. She gave up two hits in 2 2/3 innings of scoreless relief in the opener, then allowed four hits with three strikeouts while starting the second game.

Every starter had at least one hit for the Huskers (17-7) in the 12-3 win. Ally Riley hit 3 for 3 with two RBIs, while Tristen Edwards was 2 for 3 with two runs scored and two RBIs.

Nebraska will face Grand Canyon at the Easton Invitational in Fullerton, California, at 2:30 p.m. Friday.
