Nebraska men win Kansas Relays; women’s team takes second

LAWRENCE, Kan. — The Nebraska men’s track and field team won the Kansas Relays on Saturday, scoring 209 points to top Kansas, which finished with 201 points.

The men’s 1,600 relay team of Sam Bransby, Elijah Lucy, Moujtaba Mohammed and Andy Neal won the final event of the day in 3:06.94 to seal the victory.

The Husker men won four events, and the women’s team won three to finish second with 181 points behind the Jayhawks, who had 209.

NU finished 1-2 in the men’s 110-meter hurdles as Luke Siedhoff won in a personal-best time of 13.87 seconds and Antoine Lloyd was next in 14.01.

Shylia Riley won the long jump with a personal best of 20 feet, 3 inches, Angela Mercurio won the triple jump at 42-11 and Reka Czuth jumped 5-8 to win the high jump.
