Omaha, Neb. (WOWT 6 News) A suspect in the 2013 murder of a Ralston woman is being charged with First-Degree murder.
Authorities say 27-year-old Ricardo Raul Escobedo is being charged with First Degree Murder for the 2013 murder of Amiee Kearns in Ralston.
At a news conference Monday, Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine said D-N-A evidence led to the suspect. He was in custody in Iowa on a drug charge.
On October 28th, 2013 Kearns and a friend were inside the apartment which was robbed by two men. Investigators say the suspects stole a laptop and shot Kearns.
Under questioning, authorities said he admitted to involvement in the murder.
