OSCEOLA – A standout lineman from Osceola will be heading up north to play college football.
Tristan Johnston, a 1st Team All-District offensive and defensive lineman, signed his letter of intent to play football at Morningside College.
Osceola Head Football Coach T.J. Nielsen says, “We are proud and excited for Tristin as he moves on to play at Morningside. He has done a great job of developing and working at his game. He has high expectations for himself and has reached his goals and he is not scared to chase his dreams. He was big part of our success of the last few years and was a valuable part of our frontline. He has a lot of potential and we wish him the best!”
Johnston is listed as 6’4″ 260 lbs and is currently the starting center for the Osceola Bulldogs basketball team.
Osceola and High Plains are merging football teams in 2018, to form the Stormdogs. Both head coaches will remain on as Co-Head Coaches. The team will remain in the 8-man league.
