Omaha man arrested for reportedly starving his dogs to death

Omaha, Neb. (WOWT 6 NEWS) An Omaha man was arrested Tuesday for animal cruelty after two dogs reportedly starved to death in his care.

Omaha officers served a felony arrest warrant for animal cruelty Tuesday on 43-year-old Shane Palmer of Omaha.

The warrant, obtained by investigators with the Nebraska Humane Society, alleges that Palmer allowed two Pit Bulls to starve to death while in his care.

On January 9th the two dead dogs were found after they had been thrown down an embankment near Palmer’s house.

A humane society veterinarian verified the cause of death as starvation.
