Longtime Diller-Odell Boys Basketball Coach, Eric McMurray, Steps Down

DILLER – After nearly three decades of leading the Diller-Odell boys basketball program, Eric McMurray is stepping down as the Griffins head coach to become the Associate Athletic Director at Diller-Odell High School at the end of the school year.

McMurray has spent all 28-years of his teaching and coaching career at Diller-Odell.

He began at Odell High School in 1990, before the merger with Diller, as a math teacher and the head boys basketball coach.

McMurray guided the Griffins to the Class D-2 State Championship in 1994.

McMurray has also been an assistant coach in volleyball, football, and track and field, and has umpired baseball the last 16-years in the area.

Dylan Hinrichs of Giltner has been named the new Diller-Odell boys basketball coach.
