Gary Lytle Named New Beatrice Lady Orange Softball Coach

The Beatrice Lady Orange softball team has a new Head Coach.

Beatrice Activities Director, Neal Randel, announced Gary Lytle has been hired as the new Lady Orange softball head coach in a Press Release.

Lytle replaces interim coach, Dennis Dodge, who finished the season after John Fossler resigned early in the 2017 season.

Gary Lytle has coached fast pitch softball in the Beatrice area for the past ten years, and served as a volunteer assistant last season for the Lady Orange softball team.  His daughter, Hannah, was a sophomore outfielder on the team.

Lytle is a co-founder of the Nebraska Elite fast pitch organization, which currently has 150 players and eleven teams competing.

Gary Lytle also coached the Beatrice American Legion Seniors baseball team for nine years, before coaching softball.

Lytle is employed at the Plymouth Cooperative, and also serves as a Gage County Supervisor.

Coach Lytle would like to meet with all potential Beatrice High School players for the 2018 season, on Wednesday afternoon, November 29th, at 2:30 at Beatrice High School, in room 133.
