Four Jeffs Sign Letters of Intent

FAIRBURY – Four Fairbury High School football players signed their college letters of intent on Wednesday.

Adam Wasserman, Jacob Johnson, Trent Grizzle and Cayman DeBoer were surrounded by family, friends and coaches in the high school gym as they made their college choices official.

The four seniors helped Fairbury to its first undefeated regular season in school history in 2017. Wasserman, Johnson and Grizzle were named all-state by the Omaha World Herald while DeBoer received an honorable mention.

Wasserman and Johnson will continue to play together at Division II Wayne State. Grizzle will head west to play offensive line for Division II Chadron State. DeBoer will play at the NAIA level for perennial playoff contender Morningside.

Wednesday was National Signing Day for college football as athletes across the country officially signed to play at all collegiate levels.

Offensive lineman Trent Grizzle will go west to play for Chadron State
Receiver Cayman DeBoer will join NAIA powerhouse Morningside
