FAIRBURY – The Fairbury Jeffs have a reason to celebrate after Friday night. After a slow start, they clinched the Class C1-3 District Championship with a 35-12 win over Raymond Central.
The Jeffs held a small 7-0 lead entering the halftime break, but 28 second half points was enough to propel them over the Mustangs.
Adam Wasserman finished with 155 total yards and four touchdowns. Jacob Johnson had a big day on the ground with 199 yards and a score.
The win secures the district championship with only one week to play. Fairbury will head to Milford-Dorchester next week to finish their season.
