Class B State Golf to Remain at Quail Run for 3 Years

COLUMBUS – The Class B Girls State Golf Championship will remain in Columbus for at least three more years, after Quail Run was selected to continue hosting the competition.

Platte County/Columbus Area Visitors Bureau Director Deb Loseke says the NSAA awarded the competition to Quail Run Golf Course in Columbus during a NSAA directors meeting on Thursday.

Area officials including Loseke, Quail Run Pro Doug Dunbar, Doug Moore from the City of Columbus, and tournament chair Al Niedbalski presented a bid to the board during the meeting.

Over the past seven years, Columbus has earned a reputation with NSAA as a community that actively supports such an event with all of its enthusiastic volunteers. As it has been said before, we could not do it without them,” says Niedbalski.

In addition Loseke says the Class A Championship will return to Norfolk and the Class C Championship will be played in North Platte.
