BEATRICE – One week after naming Jalen Weeks the new Lady Orange head basketball coach, Beatrice High School has hired a new boys head basketball coach.
According to a press release from Athletic Director, Neal Randel, current Heartland High School coach, Clark Ribble, has been announced as the new Orangemen head basketball coach.
Ribble takes over for Tyler Struck, who resigned after six years as head coach to take a similar position at Nevada, Iowa.
Heartland High School, which is located in Henderson, Nebraska, qualified for the Class D-1 State Tournament last season, finishing with 21-5 record.
Ribble compilid an 87-32 record in five years as head coach of the Huskies. He was the head coach at Amherst before taking the job at Heartland High School.
Coach Ribble graduated from Grand Island High School and earned his degree from the University of Nebraska-Kearney.
He is the nephew of Nebraska High School Hall of Fame basketball coach, Larry Ribble, who won seven state championships as coach of Pawnee City and Millard South.
Clark Ribble will teach Physical Education at Beatrice High School.
