Beatrice High School Assistant Principal And Longtime Orangemen Football Coach, Bob Sexton, Resigns

Beatrice High School Assistant Principal and longtime Orangemen football coach, Bob Sexton, has resigned. The Beatrice Board of Education made the resignation official at Monday night’s board meeting.

Sexton says he received a career offer from Colorado as a ranch manager he couldn’t refuse.

Sexton, who has served as a teacher, coach and administrator at Beatrice High School for over three decades, was the winningest coach in Beatrice football history, and was head coach of the Orangemen for 13-years.  He led Beatrice to their only State Football Finals appearance in program history in 2008.

Sexton, who guided the Orangemen to four straight State Semi-Final appearance, resigned from coaching in 2016.
