BDS Remains Undefeated After Building 40 Point Halftime Lead

STERLING – With their first team offense on the field, #2 BDS built a 28-0 lead after the first quarter and ended up finishing off Sterling, 40-22, on Friday night.

Kale Kleinschmidt, who only played the first quarter at quarterback,, finished the day with 89 yards rushing, 89 yards passing and four total touchdowns. Caden Norder also added five receptions for 105 yards and two touchdowns for the now 5-0 Eagles.

Sterling scored 22 points in the second half after trailing 40 to 0 at the half. Austin Walters led the Jets with 120 yards on the ground and a touchdown.

The undefeated Eagles will host undefeated Falls City Sacred Heart in a Class D2 showdown next Friday night. It will be broadcast live on NCN 21.

Sterling drops to 1-4 and will visit Pawnee City next week.
