Auburn smashes three home runs, drives in 18 in blowout win over Wymore

WYMORE – Brody Darnell, Jaxson Balm and Liam Raison all homered, Baily Darnell drove-in six runs and the Auburn Legion Baseball team beat Wymore, 23-3 in five innings, Sunday.

Auburn launched into the lead with 18 runs in the second inning. Brody and Baily Darnell, Balm, Drew Dixon, Sam Neiman and Ryne Flynn each had RBI’s in the inning.

Baily Darnell finished 3-4 with a double, two runs scored, and RBI’s on a single in the second, a double in the second, and a single in the fifth. Auburn tallied 12 total hits.

Balm, Neiman and Dixon also hit doubles. Balm, Neiman and Brody Darnell each scored three runs.

Neiman threw five innings, struck out five and allowed three runs on six hits in the victory.

Trevin Soathoff went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Wymore.

Auburn improves to 6-0 and will be at Tecumseh on Tuesday.
