10 Run Third Inning Gives Fairbury 20 Wins Entering Districts

WILBER – Despite falling behind early, Fairbury was able to rally in the third inning en route to a four inning victory over Wilber-Clatonia.

The 15-5 victory helped the Jeffs earn their 20th win of the year and finish the regular season with a 20-6 record.

Following a three run home run from Alexis Tachovsky in the bottom of the first, Wilber-Clatonia was able to jump out to an early 4-2 lead.

The third inning is where Fairbury took control. They would score 10 runs in the frame.

Jaelle Johnson led the Jeffs with 4 RBIs. Johnson, Marah Shumard, Sarah McCown and Macy Ohlde all finished with two hits for the Jeffs.

The two teams will meet again in the District C-3 Tournament on Thursday. First pitch will be at 12:45 p.m. at Raymond Central.
